Ian’s Wedding

Ian gave me a call and inform me that he was about to get married and it is gonna be in all done and prepared in one week. My attendance was needed. In Singapore, couples take as long as 6 months to prepare for a wedding. 1 week is almost impossible. Ian's dad apparently suffered from a stroke and Ian had to wed soon before it is too late.

Well, I offered my photography skills for him. As this is a last minute thing, getting a photographer printing out an album for him was rather impossible. So armed with my new Nikon DSLR D200, on wednesday (the day he was doing his ROM), I took couple of shots and rush back to the shop to get them printed out nicely and placed them into a new album.

Wide Angle Lens

Been doing lottsa research in the middle of the night with Geof on gadgets and lens.

Geof being the conservative one (for the first time) has still not decided which camera to get, but doing lottsa researches on lens.

Me, on the other hand, prefers wide angle to macro photography. Richard - the old nice man on similan trips, told me some fab stories on Nikon 14mm lens.

Doing a quick google, it seems that the Nikon 12-24mm is a good general lens replacement for wide angles. But how wide is wide? And if it is the 12-24mm lens, there are many third party lens for it.

New toy! Hehehe

Okay, with every sadness, a wind of happiness comes along. My lens are finally here and I am rather happy. Zoom lens from Nikon (AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6G) Not a very good indoor lens and the construction is made of plastic. But at that price of only SGD$100, I dun think I will be complaining much.

Will bring it to Dayang this weekend to try it out and see how good it is.
