Housing for D200

June 23, 2007 0

As the trip to Lembeh draws closer, the urge of getting a housing for my new D200 grows stronger. So many options, at different prices, getting a housing is mind boggling.

Unlike OEM housings from brands like Canon, Olympus, Sony etc, third parties housing markers such as Ikelite, Nexus, Zillion, Sea and Sea, Aquatica, Seacam, Subal and many others all have their own unique selling points.

So how do you decide which housing to get?

This probably has nothing to do with photography, diving or traveling. But recently, my staffs have been bitten by the PSP bug and it seems that everyone is walking around the shop holding onto a PSP.

Let's see, the list starts from

1) John Lui
2) Andy Skarda
3) Geof
4) Geof 2
5) Calvin
6) Ben

Ian’s Wedding

in Gallery, Photography @ 12:28 am

Ian gave me a call and inform me that he was about to get married and it is gonna be in all done and prepared in one week. My attendance was needed. In Singapore, couples take as long as 6 months to prepare for a wedding. 1 week is almost impossible. Ian's dad apparently suffered from a stroke and Ian had to wed soon before it is too late.

Well, I offered my photography skills for him. As this is a last minute thing, getting a photographer printing out an album for him was rather impossible. So armed with my new Nikon DSLR D200, on wednesday (the day he was doing his ROM), I took couple of shots and rush back to the shop to get them printed out nicely and placed them into a new album.

Recent Updates

The entire past weeks has been really hectic and finding time to update the blog is almost impossible. Now that I can finally find sometime to take a break, perhaps it is time to update recent events of me.

Since after NUS, business from diving has picked up slightly. We recently had a group of divers from Arifin, compromising of about 9 open water divers, 1 recreational diver and I advanced open water diver.

Honestly, it has been a while since I had seen such weak open water divers. During the pool session 1, we had Andy and Arifin conducting it for the 9 of them. At the end of the pool, I was informed that they had only managed to complete Confined Module 1. Apparently, there were two students who had major mask clearing problem.

in Life Journal @ 1:54 am

Instructors' life is filled with surprises, fun and agony. This week is another week where all hell will break loose. Thankfully, it is not me who is on duty today. Nevertheless, I did help up in one of the pool.

Arifin brought his colleague in to learn their open water diver course and this would be the first time that he is ever conducting Confined Water training.
