Distilling Desires
April 18, 2007
Life has move on since my acquisition of my dream underwater DSLR. Of recent, as I am getting older and wiser. I started to fall in love with dramatic extreme black and white photography. Not that I enjoy nudity of human form but such black and white photography has some magic and huph to it.
It showcase humans from another perspective completely and there is something gothic and mysterious about it.
From land black and white photography, I will eventually move onto wreck black and white ambient photography.
I have always been a believer in equipment. If you want to learn something at the shortest time to avoid wasting time and money, invest in the right equipment one time and learn the right fundamentals and concept.
Lighting, the most important thing for photography, land, sea, underwater or otherwise, no light source, no nice image.
So here we go, setting up of a home studio.
First, we have to equip myself with the lights. At this moment of time, estimated cost is anything from 2k to 5k. Alot of money to me at this moment but to free my mind away from the business and find a new land hobby, i think the investment cost is all worth it.
